Chalet Bungalow, S35
This chalet bungalow, whilst benefitting from wonderful views, was dark inside with a series of poorly connected spaces. A single storey rear extension on the ground floor created space for a large kitchen diner, whilst a series of square dormers on the roof opened up the first floor, making space for a family bathroom and two good sized bedrooms.
`
Edwardian Terrace, S6
This larger than average terraced property was let down by a small kitchen in the rear offshot. A small side return extension allowed for the creation of a larger kitchen diner, without compromising on outside space. A jagged double pitched roof, open to the rafters internally, maximised the sense of space, and brought light deep into the plan and new snug. Space was also created for a new groundfloor W.C.
Semi-detached 1950s, S10
This semi-detached home was cramped and had poor internal circulation. A design solution was developed that remodelled the home internally and only required a small extension. A new kitchen diner was created with access to the rear patio and garden, allowing the clients to cook, dine and entertain guests in one generously sized space.
1930 Semi Detached, S10
This ground-floor extension, added to a 1930s semi-detached residence in S10, forms a spacious and well-lit open-plan kitchen/diner. The incorporation of bifold doors leading to an elevated terrace and garden steps enhances the connection with the outdoors. The addition of a pitched roof, along with strategically placed rooflights, ensures a light and airy space.

Workshop Conversion, S6
This conversion in S6 of a derelict workshop created a small but functional home within the existing structure, whilst the character of the building was retained. Issues with overlooking meant that the layout had to be carefully considered to ensure that light from a series of rooflights could reach all of the plan. A double height living space, with a mezzanine bedroom and bathroom above the kitchen, was planned to take advantage of the pitched roof height.
